The couple – who married in a surprise ceremony last June – are set to buy a three-bedroom, three-bathroom apartment in New York’s SoHo district. The 4,350 square foot property boasts an additional 2,000 square feet of outdoor space – including a private roof garden with its own kitchen – and facilities including a media room with a woodburning fireplace, the New York Post newspaper reports. Meanwhile, city records show that Rachel has just sold her old house in the city – with the buyer being her former partner, director Darren Aronofsky. The Wrestler filmmaker – who has a five-year-old son, Henry, with Rachel – paid $2.52 million for the five-storey townhouse. The sum is considerably less than the $3.4 million the former couple paid for the 11.5 room property in 2005 and the house is said to be worth an estimated 3-4 times more than what Darren has just paid. Though it is unclear how many bedrooms the house has, it also boasts a terrace off three second-floor kitchen, a double parlour, and a garden.

The Oz: The Great and Powerful actress acknowledges she was a disruptive pupil and was even “asked to leave” one school when growing up in London. She told the Sunday Telegraph newspaper: “I was asked to leave North London Collegiate, but my mum doesn’t like me to say I was expelled. “I didn’t try to burn down the school or anything like that; it was just anti-authority issues. I didn’t think the teachers had the right to tell me what to do. “I would just disobey, talk in the classroom, get very bad grades. “I was not a good person to have in the classroom, to put it mildly.” The 41-year-old actress eventually turned her life around and went on to study at England’s prestigious Cambridge University, which she largely credits to an English teacher, Miss Gough, at her next school, Benenden and St Paul’s. Director Terence Davies had no idea of Rachel Weisz’s star power when he decided to cast the actress in new film The Deep Blue Sea. Davies spotted the Brit as he watched her 1997 film Swept from the Sea, and was so impressed by her talent he called his manager to arrange a meeting with her, but was baffled to learn Weisz was already famous. Producer Sean O’Connor tells Britain’s Telegraph magazine, “Terence phoned his manager and said, ‘I’ve just seen the most fantastic girl called Rachel Weisz, have you heard of her?’ And his manager said, ‘She’s an Academy Award-winning actress…’ But Terence doesn’t know anything about that. Daniel Craig has asked for a double bed in his trailer on the set of the new James Bond movie Skyfall. The 007 actor wants enough room for his new wife Rachel Weisz to be able to stay with him on set, so he can concentrate his full attention getting into character as the iconic spy, rather than having to jet off to see her. A source told The Sun newspaper: “He asked for the trailer so it could be effectively a second home and his wife can visit him during filming. “It means he can spend more time on set and put everything into the next Bond, as he always does.”

The British actress stars alongside Jude Law and Sir Anthony Hopkins in the film about the inter-twining lives of people all over the world, and director Fernando Meirelles admitted he loves working with Rachel – who previously starred in his movie The Constant Gardner – because she loves improvising in rehearsals.
Speaking at the European premiere of the film – which also opened the 55th London Film Festival – at the Odeon Cinema on Leicester Square last night, Fernando exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I love to work with Rachel because she loves to improvise and I love to improvise too.
“We don’t improvise with the camera rolling, it’s more when we prepare, so she brings ideas, she brings lines. Every single word she thinks about and she questions, so she makes me think. I’m quite sure we are going to work together again.”
Fernando also confessed the stars of the film, which is set in locations including London, Vienna, Bratislava and Phoenix, did not get paid much for their participation, but wanted to take part because they “loved” the script.
He added: “Because we were only shooting five or six days with each actor, it’s easier for them to find a slot to shoot the film. And they’ve all done it because they liked the script, because they didn’t get very well paid to be honest. We all did it for love, not for the pay cheque, I can assure you that. But it’s great, when you have the whole crew involved because they want to shoot the film, not because they’re just making money it’s a different mood. It’s a wonderful experience.”

I’ve never read anything that quite had the same tone of romance and the supernatural and horror and it’s a love story as well,” said the 41-year-old actress. Dream House tells the story of a family whose new home becomes their worst nightmare. Writer Will Atenton (Craig) and his wife Libby (Weisz) move their family to New England so that Will can focus on writing a new novel. Shortly after moving into their new home, the family discovers that a woman and her two daughters were murdered in the house and everyone believes the father was the killer. Now the killer is after Atenton’s family and he must solve the mystery surrounding the murder in order to protect those he loves.“I play Libby, Will Atenton’s wife,” said Weisz, “I’m in the suburbs, which is not somewhere I fit into comfortably, but my husband’s bought us a big house so I’m happy to be raising the girls there. I think I’m a bit of a fish out of water but actually, my character never has a scene outside of the house — I’m in my ‘dream house’ the whole time.” Craig and Weisz became involved in a relationship while working on the film together and were married earlier this year. The film debuted in theaters on Sept. 30 and was directed by six-time Oscar nominated director Jim Sheridan.
