Rachel Weisz hopes her young son doesn’t want to follow in his famous mother’s footsteps — because she wants him to have a normal career away from the spotlight. The Mummy star — who raises Henry, 3, with fiance Darren Aronofsky — says her little boy caught the acting bug after seeing Weisz performing on the London stage, where she was starring in A Streetcar Named Desire. “His dad brought him in after a matinee to watch the curtain call and he figured out bowing and getting claps,” Rachel said. “So, yesterday, he put on his policeman’s outfit and bowed. That was the show. “I hope he’s not an actor — I’d dissuade him as hard as I could.”

Rachel Weisz loved starring in the historical drama film Agora — because it meant there was no technology around. The Oscar-winning beauty says she gets fed up with having to check her Blackberry and mobile phone all the time. “I would have enjoyed no email and no Blackberries,” Weisz explains. “Email is just becoming like an albatross around your neck. You could spend your life referring to emails and cell phones. “We are always just in contact with each other. In that period with the quiet and time to reflect, everything moved at a much slower pace, and I find that very attractive. This isn’t real life for me.”.

On whether she’ll ever marry her fiance, Darren Aronofsky: “We are engaged, and Darren and I are completely committed to ‘until death do us part,’ although we haven’t made it official with the paperwork yet. It’s not for any political reason or that we’re waiting for this or for that, but maybe one day we will have an official ceremony.”
On what she’s learned from her son, Henry: “To sing and joke more—he has an unbelievable sense of humor. I’ve learned more patience; he’s definitely taught me to go more with the flow. I’ve also definitely fallen even more in love with his father. Henry’s also reinforced how little I know about science. He recently asked me how a battery works, and I had absolutely no idea.
